Happy Thanksgiving!

This season of Thanksgiving compels us to examine ourselves and list what we are thankful for.  The exercise itself can be almost daunting; we found that in many ways we have become almost thank-“less” for the many blessings we have in our lives. We repent. Ephesians 5:20 – “Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...”

We are thankful for:  (the list is long and mostly Terry’s, but here are a few, we’ll stop at 25:)

1.      God – His mercies, grace, love, friendship
2.      Wife – my best friend, companion, partner in ministry, mother of my children
3.      Children and grandchildren – the very riches of life
4.      The Bible – the never-changing, unfailing truth
5.      Job
6.      Shelter and provisions, food, clothing, transportation
7.      America
8.      Friends
9.      Church – a strong home Church with a vision and burden for the community and missions
10.   Heritage – our backgrounds and experiences have made us what we are
11.   Soldiers, past and present, who protect our freedom
12.   Christian music
13.   Laughter
14.   Mexican Food
15.   The ocean
16.   Jeans and t-shirts
17.   Sunny Days
18.   Technology – the ability to stay in contact with family and friends so easily
